Hey there, hello, Little Star 🪄I'm Bwee Lacy, a traditional artist crafting magic with a watercolor brush ‧₊˚✩彡.A couple of favorite things of mine are sparkles, the color green and all things cute!My bright, imaginative art is inspired by the things I've loved since I was a child: animation, games and music - wherein I cast a spell using fine ingredients and brew jelly-like blends in twinkly potions.The ultimate dream I have is to be able to write and illustrate my own comic books!

By commissioning me, you agree to the following:

Turnaround time is ~1-3 weeks
Payment is due upfront via PayPal
Delivery of the art: email (.PNG digital file format)
The art may be used for personal use only (profile icons, banners, etc). If the artwork is reposted elsewhere online once received, proper credit is required (@cheweyyblu)
Do not claim, trace, edit, steal, sell or heavily reference my artwork. No crypto-currency/NFT/AI usage
A max of 1 major revision is allowed - further revisions come with additional charges. I will move on to painting after the commissioner has given the OK on their intended sketch(es)
I, as the artist, reserve right to the artwork for purpose of promoting my illustration services (i. e. my portfolio and Instagram)
I can draw just about anything except for hate speech and NSFW (R-18) content. I reserve the right to turn down any commission request
CANCELLATION: Full refunds will only be allowed if I have not started painting the art. If I have started painting the commission, I will not offer refunds and you will receive the completed art as is

✦ Questions and Answers ✦

✦ How long have you been drawing for?
Ever since I could hold a pencil!
I started painting with watercolors just a bit over 10 years ago and haven't stopped since then!

✦ How did you learn how to watercolor?
When I was first interested in the medium, I watched a ton of watercolor tutorials and timelapses on YouTube, took notes and painted alongside videos using cheap dollar store paintbrushes and a beginner's watercolor set. This helped out immensely for building up a muscle memory!If you're more of a visual learner, this method will be best for you to try as well!I've created a big playlist of helpful videos for learning how to paint with watercolors on YouTube here.

✦ What advice do you have to give for new artists?
Practice, practice and more practice!
Practice is key to improving your art skills whether you're working in traditional or digital art. The best thing is to start by drawing things you really enjoy!
The Shrimp Method is a drawing tutorial I recommend.

✦ How do you get such clean line art?
Lots of practice to steady my hand!A helpful thing I recommend doing is getting a blank sheet of paper and a size 3/0 paintbrush and/or blank canvas in your art program of choice and a size 3 default brush and making an entire page of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines in order (along with circles) to practice making the marks.The lines you draw can be as short or long and as fine or thick as you like.Setting aside time to do this at least x3 per week for 30 minutes will help train your hand and wrist to be steady while you're making line art!

✦ What's in your artbox?
My best art supplies: Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolors, Handbook Artist's Journal, Canson XL watercolor paper in 140lbs, Winsor & Newton Cotman series paintbrushes, Prismacolor Premiere color pencils, Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White ink and a basic mechanical pencil.

✦ How about your streaming setup?
I use this phone holder, camera and microphone!

✦ Which editing software do you use?
I use Adobe Photoshop to touch up and edit colors, brightness and levels in my artwork for Instagram.
I also enjoy LINE Camera and CapCut for creating photo/video edits on my smartphone.

✦ Do you take commissions, art trades or requests?
Commissions - Yes!
Art trades - Mutuals only!
Requests - Close friends only!

✦ Could I use your art as an icon, banner, a phone background, wallpaper, etc.?
Yes! As long as you credit me somewhere visibly like in your bio (ex: pfp by @cheweyyblu) - just as long as it is not a commission!
